Sichongxi(四重溪) hot springs:

 

Sichongxi hot spring is alkaline sodium bicarbonate spring, and temperature change with the seasons, which changes between 50 degrees Celsius to 80 degrees.Sichongxi hot spring which contains a great deal of sodium carbonate material, which is good for the promotion of human blood circulation, easing muscle stiffness and relieving the pressure. Guan Chai Ling(關子嶺) hot springs:

 

Guan Chai Ling located in Tainan County and Chiayi County at the highest elevation of 457 meters high, so getitng the name "Guan Chai Ling." In the Japanese occupation of Taiwan fourth year, Japanese soliders in the Chai Ling of the valley discovered hot springs.Fron tha time, Japanese developed there as a convalescent Department, thus rapidly becoming Taiwan's one of the four springs. Thanks to a special pillow Rock Hill metamorphosis, Guan Chai Ling "black spring" is well-known. Since the Japanese occupation era, it is already a well-known far and near. Hot spring temperature around 75 degrees Celsius, and is belong to alkaline carbonate spring. It have high concentration of sulfur, wich is looked like firing black water, thus it can not drink. When u soaked, u can feel the skin becomes very smooth and ease body. It is said that it can treat skin diseases, neurology, gastrointestinal disease and rheumatoid disease and have the analgesic effect. Guan Chai Ling hot springs is unique, because the hot springs beneath the mud rock. When the hot springs gushing out, heat and hot springs will embrace with the underground shale particles and various minerals, salts.Thus it show black, it is dubbed the "black spring." Although it have the color of black and bad smell, but it contains sulfur and salt, which can not only disinfection, but also smooth the skin. It is an excellent natural beauty!

The Beitou area, having long been famous for its abundance of hot springs, benefits from the subterranean thermal activity in Da Huang Tzuei. Tracing back to year 36 of the Qing Dynasty, the earliest sulfur mining was undertaken by Yung He Yu. The water here contains sulfur minerals and chlorides producing a very slight sulfur smell and translucent color between yellow and white. Classified as a white mineral spring, it has a pH value that falls between three and four. This type of mineral water is highly suitable for curing rheumatism and skin disease, and restoring the spirit.
