Wai’ao is located to outside Wai’ao train station, then walking out exit, Wai’ao beach just there. In the past, Wai’ao was a fishery village, now it has become a tourist attraction with growing beach. Wai’ao beach now belongs to Northeast and Yilan Coast National Scenic Area. King Car Groups operates Wai’ao tourist service center and develop various services like cafe, viewing deck.

  After the renovation of Wushi port, the seawall blocks the current and takes the sea sand north to Wai’ao. Therefore, the size of Tucheng beach declines day by day. On the other hand, the size of Wai’ao beach has increase due to the sea sand that came with the changed current.

  Facing to Guishan island and having the amazing beach make Wai’ao becomes the perfect spot for outdoor recreation.
