NANTOU, TAIWAN (TTNews) - 2009 Nantou Flower Festival has entered into its 4th year. A series of fun and fascinating 2009 Nantou Flower Festival activities will be held until January 3, 2010. This splendid event certainly will bring more funs and excitements to this typical pastoral town!

In fact, Puli Township is located in the heart of Taiwan, which is a place always full of historical, cultural and industrial characteristics, coupled with rich tourism resources. Puli has gradually become a prominent tourist core of Nantou County.

Puli Township’s unique two major traditional industries, winery and floriculture, have shaped the distinctive image of Puli; hence, Puli Township is very likely to have the potential of becoming the “Floral Capital” and “Shaoxing Small Town”. Plus, it is also located on the way to Sun Moon Lake, Lushan Hot Spring Scenic Area, Cingjing Farm and other famous scenic spots. Therefore, Puli undoubtedly have played an important role whether in international tourism, or domestic tourism.

Nantou County is Taiwan’s largest production of native flowers. The yield of orchids and roses ranks the top among other places in Taiwan. Floriculture in Nantou has become a major tourism and economic lifeline.
