Hualien-Taitung coast has always been one of the most popular tourist attractions in Taiwan. In the deep blue sea, the area is known for a rich diversity of eco-tour activities, especially whale watching activity.

Taitung County Government in order to promote local ecological tourism, it has launched whale-watching eco tour on September 10, 2009. The deadline for application is due on September 7, 2009. The participants will need to cover the cost of boat ticket for NT$400. The restricted quota is 75 people.
