TAITUNG, TAIWAN (TTNews) – Along with the arrival of the Year of Tiger, the air is filled with the joyful and festival atmosphere of the Lunar New Year, which also suggest the advent of a series of Lantern Festival celebrations. Lantern Festival is one of the most prominent festivities celebrated on the fifteenth day of the first month in the lunar year in Chinese calendar.
2010 Taitung Lantern Festival Folk Carnival – The Year of Tiger Bombarding Master Handan Festival will be held between February 23 and March 3 of 2010. The yearly “Lantern Festival Takes a Stroll”, also known as a blessing procession pilgrim, is one of most attention-getting and vigorous activities held during Lantern Festival. This year’s folk troupe show will kick off on February 23. In the meantime, a fun-filled array of folk performances and creative lantern displays will also be taken place for the duration of the event.
