“Mazu Craze in March” is a phenomenon describing the procession of Mazu heading to southern Taiwan from Dajia, Taichung in March. The procession is going to last for 9 days and 8 nights, the total length of the procession is 340 km. Mazu procession and worshippers will walk across 4 cities. The event indicates the solid belief of Taiwanese to solemn Goddess.
The procession set foot in March 23. There were numbers of special guests attending the venue. Mazu was then sat on the sedan chair while worshippers cheered loudly. The worshippers would like to get great blessing from Mazu and have a safe year.
Mazu Festival has always been a grand event for worshippers in Taiwan or even abroad. Every ritual and procedure symbolizes the strong connection between Mazu and Taiwanese.
