Temperatures across Taiwan are likely to keep dropping this week as a strong cold air mass moves in from China, the Central Weather Bureau said Tuesday. Areas north of Miaoli County could experience lows of around 10 degrees Celsius until Thursday, the bureau warned. This is in sharp contrast to the highs of around 30 degrees recorded in most of these areas last weekend, the bureau said. It forecast temperatures of 10-17 degrees in northern Taiwan, 11-18 degrees in central Taiwan, 14-18 degrees in southern Taiwan and 14-19 degrees in eastern regions, until Thursday.
