“Gaultier/ Chopinot - Le Défilé” proudly presented by Taipei Fine Arts Museum is scheduled to take place between May 29th and August 15th of 2010. The exhibition will feature a total of 145 costumes designed by world-renowned French fashion designer Jean-Paul Gautlier. The ticket will be available at any authorized stores and units.
In the meantime, the exhibition will also presents the results of the collaboration of two astonishing talents of the fashion and performance industries for a series of twelve stage performances between 1983 and 1994. Over the course of the exhibition, visitors will be able to view an eye-popping collection of outrageous designs and exaggerated fashions, such as the cone-bras he designed for Madonna.
Taipei Fine Arts Museum is honored to once again present internationally renowned fashion designer’s artistic achievement. Costumes, drawing, photographs, videos, etc. featured in the show are mainly on loan from the Musée des Arts Décoratifs in Paris and the National Theater Costume Center in Moulins.
In order to provide children and visitors with the opportunity to have a better understanding of the world of fashion design, Taipei Fine Arts Museum has in particular organized a series of interesting activities, including appreciation tours, lectures and children’s summer camp.
