website, then
you are probably quite interested in coming to Taiwan already, and why not ?
Not for nothing did early Portuguese explorers name this place "Formosa" –beautiful island, there is plenty of natural beauty to behold here, including Taroko Gorge, Mount. Alishan, green fields and sandy beaches.
Today's Taiwan is a fast developing society, the days when "Made in Taiwan" only appeared on cheap, shoddy plastic toys are long gone! Taiwan today is a democracy whose people enjoy full freedom of expression.
For decades the most important and influential people in Taiwan have consisted mainly of people who studied in the USA. Today people who have studied in the United Kingdom, Australia Canada and elsewhere are also taking their ranks amongst Taiwan's movers and shakers. As a result, the ability to speak and understand English is highly prized and sought after. You will find that many more people, from all walks of life, will try to talk to you in English in Taiwan than in most other non-English speaking countries.
